avec is a celebrated Chicago restaurant featuring midwestern interpretations of Mediterr1anean classics and works with family farmers and local purveyors. With a shared commitment to ethical and environmental business practices, we co-created custom boards made entirely from reclaimed bamboo chopsticks.
CO-CREATE WITH RENEWOUR STRATEGIC PARTNER
We’re proud to partner with ChopValue, a certified B Corporation committed to the “urban harvesting” of single-use bamboo chopsticks collected from a network of restaurants throughout the USA and Canada. All of our reclaimed chopsticks are sourced from ChopValue. This partnership further reduces transportation-related CO2 emissions while cutting material and water waste. By replacing new, harvested resources with reclaimed materials, we protect our forests and creatively upcycle bamboo materials into premium, planet-friendly products that are good as new, but so much better.
Additionally RENEW'S technology uses ChopValue's innovative circular processing to transform chopsticks into an engineered performance material.
